Order photocopies, loans and archived journal issues

The library offers several ways to order photocopies and loans. We accept orders for photocopies from students, researchers, private customers, companies and libraries within the nordic countries. You do not have to restrict your copy order to the material that we have in our own collections..

Order loans from the KIB collections directly in the library catalogue, MIKS.

Employees and students at KI may order interlibrary loans of materials for research and study purposes that are not owned by KIB

Order photocopy
KI-affiliated customer? Try our library catalogue, MIKS or our journals list. We subscribe to the majority of our journals in electronic form, which means you can read the article directly on your own computer.

Order interlibrary loan
Interlibrary loans are only made for researchers, students and employees of Karolinska InstitutetOrder interlibrary loan (only for employees, researchers and students at Karolinska Institutet). Begin by checking our library catalogue for the book since you may order it directly through the catalogue if its available there.

Delivery from the library archives

The journals list and the catalogue MIKS have information about where the paper version is placed. It is only possible to order whole issues from the archives of the unit where the material is stored. Journals are not available for loan.

Older journals are also increasingly becoming available online. Older books are ordered through MIKS, can be picked up at any library unit and are available for loan.

KIB Solna
Journals 1991-2001.

Off-campus Archives
Journals up to and including 1990 are stored in archives outside Karolinska Institutet. Single articles from journals older than 1990 will in most cases be delivered as a photocopy for pick-up at KIB Solna or KIB Huddinge. If you wish to read whole volumes or issues, the delivery time will be longer for off campus archives than from local archives, generally 1-2 days.
